How can we set up POP3 mail account in Microsoft Outlook?

  1. Open Microsoft Outlook.
  2. Click on the "File" option in the menu bar.
  3. From the dropdown menu, select "Account Settings".
  4. Switch to the "Email" tab and click on the "New" button.
  5. Enter your email address and password, then click on the "Next" button.
  6. Check the option "Manual setup or additional server types" and click on "Next".
  7. Select "POP or IMAP" and click on "Next".
  8. Enter the required information:
    • Server Information:
      • Incoming mail server: Enter the POP3 server address (e.g., pop.mail.com).
      • Outgoing mail server: Enter the SMTP server address (e.g., smtp.mail.com).
    • User Information:
      • Your Name: Enter your name as you want it to appear in outgoing emails.
      • Email Address: Enter your email address.
    • Logon Information:
      • User Name: Enter your email account's username.
      • Password: Enter your email account's password.
  9. Click on the "More Settings" button.
  10. Switch to the "Advanced" tab and configure the necessary connection settings
